Businessman Raila Junior in 2019 gave a candid interview where he intimately shared how he struggled for almost five years to get his first child.
Speaking to a local radio station, Raila Junior narrated that it was a huge challenge in his marriage but they figured a way of handling societal pressure.
“We have been married for a long time…during the first four or five years, we struggled to get a baby.
“Eventually we were blessed with a son and we are grateful,” he said,
Asked whether the period led to conflict in their marriage, Raila Junior maintained that the two of them stuck with each other despite pressure from friends.
“We were doing just fine but people kept asking us what the problem was. There was a lot of pressure from different quarters but I tried my best not to transfer it to my wife,” he said.
He further advised couples who are struggling to conceive to stick together and in case traditional methods fail, they can always seek advice from health experts.
Asked about his early childhood, he stated that he saw his dad, NASA leader Raila Odinga, when he was almost 10 years and it was somewhat awkward.
Well, Raila Junior and wife Yvonne Wambui yesterday, August 24, welcomed a newborn baby.
Junior made the special announcement on Twitter noting that it was the best birthday present for his mother-Ida Odinga as she turns 71.
He also congratulated his wife for their bouncing baby boy.
“She gave my mum, Ida Odinga, the best birthday present in the world. Thank you God bless you. I love you so much,” he tweeted.
