Songstress Nyota Ndogo is finding it difficult to navigate the terrains of single life away from her husband Henning Nielsen after he blocked her on all social media platforms.

In recent weeks, the singer has been on a campaign of some sort, trying to win back Nielsen, efforts thwarted by his continuous and conspicuous silence

On Friday, the Watu na Viatu hitmaker was at it again, recalling how they enjoyed marriage and shared a heartbreaking story on how some people ridiculed her on their wedding day.

“It is not easy to let go. I am lamenting online but some commit suicide instead of opening up. If loving you is wrong then I won’t want to be right…,” she wrote.

She shared a photo of their wedding day and recalled how she was ridiculed but Nielsen assured her she is beautiful.

“My love, do you remember this day? This was the day our body become one lakini pia this day Pia was the day we get bully yani tulipuliwa mpaka tunaenda mlima wa sagala kusoma comments I use to read for you what this my people walikua wanacooment but unakumbuka jumbe moja ulisoma ilikua inasema NYOTA UNAKAA KAMA MFU AMEFUFUKA. nikakusomea nikatranlate what you after me reading for you you hold me tight yani very tight then you said to me YOUR BEAUTIFUL my wife. UMENIBLOCK KILA MAHALI LAKINI GOOGLE itakupa ujumbe I will come to you if you don’t come here. Wewe mawe basi huna uruma Jamani,” she wrote.

In an earlier interview with a local Daily, the Watu na Viatu hitmaker disclosed that all was not well in her marriage.

“I have been having sleepless nights since April 1st. The man I love has blue ticked me. He has been silent on me,” she confessed after her April Fools’ joke went south.

Her husband reportedly wondered why she was delivering the news of a pregnancy three months since they had last seen each other. “What?” is all he asked before going silent, she said.

“I never thought he would take this so seriously. I made the joke at 8 am and come 4 pm, I told him it was a joke but by that time he had taken it seriously. He has been silent on me since, something I had never foreseen happening in the last seven years we have been together as friends and as a couple,” Nyota Ndogo said, adding that the situation had her in an awkward dilemma.

“When I married my husband, I wanted real love and that is what I get from him. I am faithful and you know so well that I wouldn’t date anyone else, leave alone cheat on him. Even though I did wrong without thinking of how the joke would turn out, I want him to know I have realized my mistake,” she said, adding that she could no longer reach him as he has already blocked her number.

The two lovebirds wedded in May 2016. Nyota Ndogo had been separated from her ex-husband K-short for eight years and Nielsen had been separated from his ex-wife for 24 years. Both have grown-up children from previous marriages.

“Honestly, the man I love has blue ticked me. I can only talk to his children. He usually visits in May and I would like him to know that I had no bad intentions at all,” she concluded.

The Voi-based singer has yet again apologized and pleaded for leniency.

“Please come back to me. I don’t want your money, I’m crying for love,” read part of her post.

The Swahili singer has in the past revealed that getting married to mzungu was a challenge because people expect her to help them whenever they need help.

“We are still trying to adjust to each other’s culture. The challenging part is also being married to a mzungu. Many always expect me to help whenever they ask for help and if I don’t, they speak ill of me,” Nyota said.

She said she is on good terms with her husband’s ex-wife and they talk. Nyota, who was accused of stealing someone’s hubby, denied this.

“I didn’t steal anyone’s husband. He was divorced. His ex and I talk and their children are even planning to visit me soon in Kenya,” she said.

When asked if she was going to have a child with her husband, she said: “God-willing we might. We are still discussing it but also age is catching up. It’s not something that will stress me because I’m not barren and neither is he. We have children from our previous relationships and we’re okay with that.”

The singer has been keeping a low profile musically, and many have been speculating that she called it quits.

“I have been busy constructing rentals and it needed my full attention, that’s why I’ve been away,” Nyota said.

She has come a long way having worked as a house girl before becoming a sensation with her melodic voice.
